Update on the great news of our home facility at Deer Park School.

Firstly it is great news we have finally secured a home ground in the local area. The continuous long journeys away from the local area to see our players train and in some cases play matches will soon be a distant past memory! Our Chairman presented to the local councils who were unanimous in awarding the planning application to start.

SO WHEN WILL IT BE READY?
The tender for construction is underway and this will take around 2 or 3 weeks before the application can be awarded. Once the build has started, the completion date will be set for the Summer 2022. This means from the start of the 2022-23 season, we could be all training on the new site!

ANY ADDITIONS TO THE PITCH?
A 50 seater stand has been also accepted along with dugouts and a variety of goal sizes to fit the needs of the club. The outlay on the pitch is yet to be decided but it will likely to include markings for 2 x 9v9 pitches and of course a full 11v11 pitch. All pitches will be colour coded.

ANY GRASS PITCHES AVAILABLE?
Together with the Eastleigh Borough we have outlined adjacent to the 3G pitch is the potential for 2 or 3 pitches that meet FA standards. Drainage and slopes will require some groundwork to meet this standard but this expected to begin this summer for completion by January 2022, thus allowing time for the grass to grow and be ready in September 2022.

WILL IT BE HOME TO ALL HEDGE END RANGERS TEAMS?
Due to the volume of teams within Hedge End Rangers it is likely times and facilities will be split to accommodate all teams. We are also in the process to see all teams meet the club philosophy of the club which is vital for all coaches, parents and players uphold the respect of the game.

WHAT TEAM GETS ALLOCATED TIME TO TRAIN?
It is too early to say what allocations can be given, however our Chairman is in regular contact with the various contacts about the dates, times, and usage. Lets just say, our U7's will not be asked to train at 9pm (although I'm sure if the kids had their way, they would love a late night!)

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@hedgeendrangers.co.uk or through our Facebook page.

We look forward to welcoming you all to the Deer Park Home Ground soon!!
